so usually there is a manual button on the bottom of the pc so you can change the input source but i don’t have that but the pc has an hdmi and idk how to get to it

There are LOTS of different model PCs -- but the ones that have both Input and Output HDMI ports have two ports -- and each is clearly labeled as such.

 

If your PC has only one HDMI port, it is OUTPUT only and can not be used the way you want,
