Your machine could be one of the following machines

          https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-all-in-one-pc-27-ca1000i/2101040310/product-info

For example :     HP Pavilion 27-ca1000nx AiO PC

At its back you can see

  • (1) RJ-45 Ethernet port
  • (1) HDMI v1.4b input port
  • (1) HDMI 1.4 output port
  • (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port (5 Gbps signalling rate)
  • (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port (5 Gbps signalling rate)
  • (2) USB 2.0 Type-A ports
  • (1) Power input port

You can add 1 external monitor for your machine using HDMI out port.

Regards.

Hello, I chose the HP Pav 27-ca1701ng AiO because it supports Duet Display for HP according to the description. Yes I know that I can connect an external monitor. But I want to use HP Display for HP as promised. I have an iPad Pro at home, and no second monitor.

You have to use its HDMI in port. This port allows you to use its screen as a monitor for other devices specially Playstations, xBox ....

Hello, ok I am from Germany and my English is a bit rusty.
But I want to use my IPad Pro as a second monitor on the HP.

A HDMI iN function has the iPad Pro not!

Again, why is my HP not recognized by Duet Display for HP

Does your iPad pro have standard HDMI out port ?  No, it does NOT have HDMI port.

From Apple : You can connect your iPad to an HDMI display or TV with a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Adapters that support HDMI 2.0 can output video from iPad Pro and iPad Air (5th generation) at 4K resolution and 60Hz, while iPad Air (4th generation) and iPad mini (6th generation) can output video at 4K resolution and 30Hz.".

Hope Apple supports this

Okay, we're going around in circles. So back to the initial question.
I want to use the iPad as a second monitor on my HP AIO pavilion. There is a program / app Duet Display for HP.
Duet Display is free with an HP Pavilion built in 2021.
Again
