hi!

so I recently around 4 days ago got and setup a new omen pc tower and today I started to hear a weird electric static type noise from either my psu or my gpu. I have consulted various forums online and even tried Hp support but that was completely useless. I know for a fact that it is not coil whine since that is a high pitched noise and this is a kind of low pitched buzzing sort of like when you plug in a power cable but like 16X louder. Does anyone else have this problem and have a fix for it? if so please reply to this.

Thank you,

someone who needs answers.

Hello
@JustARandomGuy  all you can possibly do is open the side, and check if possible where the noise is coming from.
But from what you say it seems abnormal
the best thing to do is to return it to the seller

@JustARandomGuy -- are you using external speakers?  If so, disconnect them from the computer, and from the AC power.

Does the motherboard have a tiny "PC Speaker" ? Try disconnecting it from the motherboard.

Thanks to everyone who gave replies and suggestions!

turns out I had something else plugged into the power bar I’m using and that had some kind of interference with the power my pc was drawing from the power bar. I can say that if I don’t plug that certain device in then the noise isn’t there.
