You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that error is created or what to do about it.
As I wrote yesterday, that is probably not the right BIOS file.
I just tried running the file on my Dell PC and it won't even open.
It gives me some kind of file security error on W11.

Hi:
That is interesting.
That model series is less than 10 years old and should not be retired but I checked every 15-dw1xxx support page I could find and got no drivers.
Below are the info and exe file links to the latest BIOS update I could find for the 15-dw1xxx model series (F.21):
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp132501-133000/sp132835.html
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp132501-133000/sp132835.exe

Unfortunately, I don't know what that error is, but something tells me that the 864B may be for a different motherboard SSID.
Your PC's system board ID is 85F2, so that file is probably not be the right one.
I did find another file but when I looked inside the exe file using the free 7-Zip file utility I don't see your PC's system board listed, so I don't think this one will work either, but you can give it a try.
It has 0899F, 0881D, 085F1, 085F3, 085EF, and 085F5

hey friend thank you very much for your help so I tried to start it on another PC to create the USB stick with the bios but I can't extract the sp132835 file and it creates an executable called 864b which literally does nothing; instead the last file you sent me the sp140480 I can extract successfully and I can create the USB at the moment I haven't tried putting it on the PC yet but if, as you said, this isn't made specifically for mine; I just wanted to know if you can understand why the sp132835 doesn't work??
