Microsoft Windows 11

I am experiencing a high-pitched beeping sound that is synchronized with the flashing power light when the PC is in sleep mode. The noise is quiet but it's at a frequency that you can hear over other noises. It's almost more of a squealing beep. I just purchased the computer a week ago. Any help is greatly appreciated

There are actually quite a few reports of this problem

Try to locate the problem as coming from the speakers or from inside the computer

In any event it is a warranty problem.   If you can identify where the noise comes from that can help the HP tech support to decide whether to try to fix it remotely or to have you return it for repair

1) Click on this link -

2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6) Fill the web form and proceed further.

[edit] If the sound is coming from the speakers it is possible the system did not go to sleep. An application or something stopped it from sleeping and possible that can be fixed remotely. If from inside the laptop or desktop then hardware problem and needs to be returned for repair.
