There is actually more to that model number IE: HP All-in-One 24-df1000ur PC
The HP All-in-One PC 24-df1000i (1W761AV) seems to be a model line, however since this is a new PC, I think it might not have a DVD drive actually installed and the place you suspect is a DVD drive - it is a cover. I looked at several of the units in that model line, such as the one I posted and they do not include a DVD drive, but it might have been an option.
If the printer has software that needs installed, then most likely it has support that can be downloaded from the manufacturer. If you need assistance with that - please post the make and model number for the printer and the complete model number for the PC.

Close any applications using the drive and then shut down the PC.
Find the pinhole on the drive door.
Bend part of the paperclip to a point. Insert the paperclip slowly until there is resistance, then gently push until the drive door is opened.
Pull the drive tray out and remove the disk.
