New computer. New to Windoes 7.
There is a semi transparent task bar at the bottom of my screen that interferes with some of my apps.
Unlocking it does not help.

Hi,
This is how:
Open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties by clicking the Start button
, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Taskbar and Start Menu.
On the Taskbar tab, under Taskbar appearance, select the Auto-hide the taskbar check box, and then click OK.
The taskbar is hidden from view. You can see it again by pointing to the place where you last saw it.

Hi,
Right click an empty area of the Taskbar and select Properties. In the Taskbar and Start menu Properties window, enter a tick in the box next to 'Auto-hide the taskbar' then click Apply and Ok to save the change.
