Hi @Cywill1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

To remove the HP Support Assistant icon from your desktop or taskbar, you can follow these steps:

Removing HP Support Assistant Icon from Desktop:

  1. Right-Click and Delete:
    • Right-click the HP Support Assistant icon on your desktop.
    • Select Delete from the context menu.
    • Confirm the deletion when prompted. This will remove the icon from your desktop but will not uninstall the program.

Removing HP Support Assistant Icon from Taskbar:

  1. Unpin from Taskbar:
    • Right-click the HP Support Assistant icon on your taskbar.
    • Select Unpin from the taskbar.

Uninstalling HP Support Assistant (if desired):

If you want to completely remove the HP Support Assistant software, you can uninstall it from your system:

Open Settings:

  • Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.

Go to Apps:

  • Click on Apps and then select Apps & features.

Find HP Support Assistant:

  • Scroll through the list or use the search box to find HP Support Assistant.

Uninstall:

  • Click on HP Support Assistant and then click Uninstall.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process.

Restart Your Computer:

After removing the icon or uninstalling the program, it’s a good idea to restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect properly.

By following these steps, you can remove the HP Support Assistant icon from your desktop or taskbar and, if desired, uninstall the program from your system entirely.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
