how to create shortcut icons on the desktop screen

There are several ways to do this, a common method includes finding the program and "sending" it to the Desktop (create a shortcut):

Find the program (using Search) that you want to place on the Desktop

Right-Click on that program / application > Open File Location >

Repeat the Right-Click and "Open File Location" steps until you find the "executable" (.exe) program >

Right-Click on the program executable file > Send to > Desktop

Once you have the shortcut on the Desktop > Right-Click on it...

You can change the icon, change the name (in tab General)

If you know the "target" to the shortcut you want to add, you can create the shortcut on the fly:

Right-Click on Desktop > New > shortcut

Enter the "target", that is, the full path to the program >

If necessary:

Double-click / Run shortcut > Enable > OK

There are other ways to get what you want - use your favorite search engine and search for "create Desktop shortcut" or other key phrases.
