Below is the link to the latest BIOS update HP has for your PC:

1.13

HP Compaq 8100 Elite Convertible Minitower PC Software and Driver Details

Since the BIOS update was written to be run using W7, I recommend that you use the F10 setup BIOS flash method to update the BIOS to the latest version and not run the Windows BIOS update method.

Get a reliable USB flash drive.  Format it with the FAT 32 file system.

Download and run the v1.13 bios file.  An information page will open.

Follow the instructions for the F10 Flash System ROM method.

Click on the View Contents of the DOS Flash Folder.

Copy the file contents of the DOS flash folder to your USB flash drive.

Just the files, not the folder.

Restart the PC.  Tap the F10 key for the F10 BIOS system setup option.

On the file tab, select the Flash System ROM command.

Select the USB flash drive.

The PC should now 'see' the BIOS update files on the flash drive.

Follow the on screen instructions to update the BIOS.

I guess that since you are running W10, the link doesn't open anymore because it was set to open with Internet Explorer which has been retired by Microsoft.

So what you do is to go to the folder the file was unpacked to.

The folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp53945.

Then you can click on the html file you see in the folder and it will open for you.
