Hi @Aiden38,

If your Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a is stuck on the HP screen during startup, you can follow the steps below to try and resolve this issue:

  1. Power Cycle the PC:
    • Turn off your computer by holding the power button until it completely shuts down.
    • Unplug the power cable from the wall socket.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds to ensure the capacitors discharge fully.
    • Plug the power cable back and restart the computer.

  2. Boot into Safe Mode:

    • Restart your computer and immediately press the F8 key repeatedly.
    • Once in the Windows recovery menu, select "Troubleshoot."
    • Go to "Advanced options" and choose "Startup Settings."
    • Click "Restart," and when your PC restarts, choose "Enable Safe Mode" by pressing the F4 key.

  3. Perform a System Restore:

    • Boot your PC into Safe Mode (as described above).
    • Once logged in, search for "System Restore" in the Start menu.
    • Open System Restore and follow the prompts to restore your PC to a previous working state.

  4. Reset BIOS to Default Settings:

    • Restart the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter BIOS setup.
    • Look for the option to "Restore Defaults" or "Load Setup Defaults." This is typically found under the "Exit" tab.
    • Save and exit to reboot your PC.

  5. Check for Hardware Issues:

    • Disconnect all external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and restart the PC.
    • Re-seat hardware components like RAM and ensure all connections are secure. Make sure power is off and the device is unplugged when doing this.

  6. Contact Support:

    • If the problem persists, it might be advisable to contact HP support for further assistance, as there could be more complex issues involved.

Following these steps should help resolve the startup issue. If you are uncomfortable performing some of these steps, especially hardware checks, consider consulting a professional technician.

I hope it helps.
