The issue you're encountering with HP Support Assistant could be related to a compatibility glitch or corrupted installation. Here are steps to resolve it:

 

1. Update HP Support Assistant

  • Check if you have the latest version:
    • Download the latest version from the HP Support Assistant website.
    • Install it and restart your system.

2. Repair Installation

  • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  • Locate HP Support Assistant, click on it, and select Modify or Repair.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to repair the installation.

3. Clear Cache

  • Navigate to: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Framework.
  • Delete the contents of the Cache folder.
  • Restart HP Support Assistant.

4. Reinstall HP Support Assistant

  • Uninstall HP Support Assistant completely:
    • Settings > Apps > Installed apps > HP Support Assistant > Uninstall.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Reinstall it using the link above.

5. Run as Administrator

  • Right-click on the HP Support Assistant icon.
  • Select Run as Administrator.

6. Windows Compatibility Troubleshooter

  • Right-click on the HP Support Assistant shortcut and select Properties.
  • Go to the Compatibility tab.
  • Click Run compatibility troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
