@thesonofthecros, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Support Assistant Installation Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're encountering compatibility issues while trying to install HP Support Assistant after a system reset, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:
Ensure Compatibility with System Requirements:
- HP Support Assistant should generally be compatible with your system specifications, including the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U processor with Radeon Graphics and 64-bit architecture. However, double-check on HP's support website to confirm compatibility with the specific version you're trying to install.
Download the Latest Version:
- It seems you are directed to download an older version. Try obtaining the latest version directly from HP Support Assistant to ensure the version is up-to-date.
Check Windows Update:
- Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, certain updates might be required for compatibility with the latest HP Support Assistant.
Verify System Settings:
- Check your system settings for any compatibility mode settings that might interfere with the installation. Compatible mode can occasionally cause software not originally designed for older systems to error out.
Remove Previous Installations:
- Uninstall any previous instances of the HP Support Assistant or conflicting software that might be causing the installation issues.
Use HP Diagnostics:
- Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (pre-installed) to check your system for any hardware issues that might be affecting software installations.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
