HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-059na (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently done a clean install of win10 due to HDD becoming unreliable.  I have installed a 256GB SSD to store only win 10 and installed a 3TB HDD for my files.

When I look in the device manager there are is a question mark  on other devices.  when I click on Other devices, there is  - SM Bus Controller and Unknown device.

When I right click on SM Bus Controller and click the Details tab and then select Hardware IDs I see the following:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C22&SUBSYS_2B2C103C&REV_05

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C22&SUBSYS_2B2C103C

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C22&CC_0C0500

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C22&CC_0C05

When I right click on Unknown device and click the Details tab and then select Hardware IDs I see the following:

USB\VID_8087&PID_07DC\6&2340226D&0&5

How can I put this right and what does it even mean????

Thanks

Patrick

You need these drivers:

SM Bus Controller

Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver

sp72068.exe

Use the Dell driver for the Intel Bluetooth adapter, since HP and Intel don't have drivers for that device any longer.

Thank you very much for your help.  That seems to have fixed it.
