Does a software update through the HP Assistant make the model number able to be shown?

@musty777,

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!

You can find out right now what your model number is: type system information and click on the System Information App.

You'll see something like this, using the PC I am working from:

NonSequitur777_0-1696143100861.png

It shows your "System Model", "System SKU" (to use here: HP PartSurfer), and your "BaseBoard Product" (motherboard SSID number), and a whole lot more.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
