@justsaying6412, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're having trouble finding the correct Bluetooth driver for your HP desktop running Windows 7. No worries—I'll guide you through the steps to get this resolved.
Identify Your HP Desktop Model
To ensure you download the correct driver, we first need to identify your exact desktop model. Here's how:
- Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter.
- Look for System Model in the System Information window.
- Note down the model name (e.g., HP Pavilion 500-214).
Go to HP’s Official Driver Page
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your desktop model number in the search bar.
- Select your operating system as Windows 7.
- Look under the Driver - Network section for Bluetooth drivers.
If you're unsure which Bluetooth driver to choose, look for one labeled Intel Bluetooth Driver or Realtek Bluetooth Driver, depending on your hardware.
Alternatively, if your system uses Intel Bluetooth, you can directly check this Intel Bluetooth Driver for Windows 7.
Install the Driver
- Download the appropriate driver.
- Right-click the downloaded file and select Run as Administrator.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Restart your PC.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
