My HP desktop computer recently upgraded and since then I am unable to save a jpeg or png file. It gives me a file system error. I am also unable to print and scan from my computer. The HP printer works fine if I sent the print job from my phone.
The scanner app crashes and nothing prints from my computer.

Hi Jeremiah,

Could you please describe what you mean by "My HP desktop computer recently upgraded"?

HP Recommended

Sorry, I meant to say updated

Have you had a chance to try to roll back the update and see if the issue is corrected? If you are referring to Windows updates, this can be done through settings and recovery.

HP Recommended

I have not tried that. Can you tell me how to do that specifically?

HP Recommended

Oh sure...let me collect some screenshots. See, the problem with Windows updates sometimes, is when you have outdated hardware, it can create some issues. Mostly windows does a good job of understanding the limits, but not always. Give me a bit and I'll get you some screenshots to walk you through it.

Just to clarify, are you still running Windows 10? or did you update to Windows 11?

HP Recommended

I'm not sure. How can I tell?

In your search bar on the bottom left, type 'system'. The suggestion 'System Information' will show. Click that. A screen will show many of the specs of your hardware and operating system. It will give you an OS Name and Version. Tell me what both of those are.

OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Home

Version: 10.0.22000 Build 22000
