@AngelMD, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble installing or updating HP Support Assistant on your HP Pavilion p6-2101es Desktop PC, follow these steps:
1. Uninstall Previous Version
- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Locate HP Support Assistant, right-click, and select Uninstall.
- Restart your PC after the uninstallation.
2. Download the Latest HP Support Assistant
- Visit the official HP website:
HP Support Assistant Download Page - Download the latest version (currently version 9 or later).
- Run the installer and follow the instructions.
3. Install an Older Version (Before Version 9)
If your system does not support the newer versions, try downloading an older version (e.g., version 8.x):
- Search for "HP Support Assistant version 8 download" on the HP website or trusted third-party sites.
- Install the older version, then disable automatic updates to prevent it from updating to an incompatible version.
4. Check Compatibility
- Your HP Pavilion p6-2101es is an older model, so newer HP Support Assistant versions might not work.
- Ensure you're running Windows 10 or Windows 7, as HP Support Assistant may not work correctly on older OS versions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
