Hi @Drew21551,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam is not recognized by the HP Accessory Center on a Windows 10 (64-bit) system, it suggests an issue with either the software, the webcam's connectivity, or the drivers. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue:

Check Connectivity:

  • Ensure the webcam is properly connected to your computer. Try using a different USB port to rule out a port issue.
  • Test the webcam on another computer to determine if the issue is specific to your computer or the webcam itself.

Update HP Accessory Center:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Accessory Center. Visit the HP website or the Microsoft Store to check for updates.

Update Webcam Drivers:

  • Go to the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search box).
  • Locate the webcam under "Cameras", "Imaging devices", or "Unknown devices". If it's under "Unknown devices", it may appear as "USB Device".
  • Right-click on your webcam and select "Update driver". Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" to let Windows search for the latest driver online.
  • If Windows cannot find a new driver, visit the HP support website, find the drivers for your HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam, download, and install them manually.

Check Windows Settings:

  • Ensure that your camera is allowed to be used by apps. Go to Windows Settings > Privacy > Camera, and make sure that camera access is enabled for your device and for apps you want to use the webcam with.

Reinstall HP Accessory Center:

  • Uninstall the HP Accessory Center from your computer and then reinstall it. This can help resolve any issues caused by software corruption or incorrect settings.

Windows Update:

  • Ensure your Windows 10 system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click on "Check for updates". Installing the latest Windows updates can resolve conflicts between the operating system and USB devices or drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
