Hi @mo1990,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Transferring data between two HP computers can be done smoothly using several methods, depending on your preferences and setup. Here are the most reliable approaches that you can try:

Option 1: Use an External Drive or Cloud Backup

HP recommends backing up your files using File History or OneDrive:

🔹 For Windows 11/10:

  1. Connect an external drive (USB or portable HDD).
  2. Search for File History in the Start menu.
  3. Click Turn on and then Run now to start the backup.
  4. You can restore this backup on your new HP computer using the same File History tool.

Option 2: Use HP Orbit (for wireless transfer)

If both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, HP Orbit allows easy file sharing between HP computers and even mobile devices.

🔹 Steps:

  1. Open HP Orbit on both computers.
  2. Pair them using the on-screen code.
  3. Drag and drop files to transfer wirelessly.

Option 3: Bluetooth Transfer

If both computers support Bluetooth:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on both devices.
  2. Pair them.
  3. Use the Send files option from the Bluetooth settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
