Hi @uknowho,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it is to try upgrading your processor and then have your system fail to boot with those beeps. It sounds like your HP Desktop PC M01‑F2000i is having trouble recognizing the new Intel 14100 processor. Let's work through some steps to determine the root cause and what you can do:

Verify CPU Compatibility:

  • Confirm whether the HP Desktop PC M01‑F2000i officially supports an Intel 14100. This model originally shipped with an Intel 12100, so the motherboard and BIOS might only support certain processors.
  • Check HP’s support website or your system’s documentation for a list of compatible CPUs.

Check for BIOS Updates:

  • Visit the HP Support site and look for BIOS updates for your model.
  • Sometimes a BIOS update can add support for newer processors. If an update is available that mentions support for 14th Gen CPUs, update your BIOS following the provided instructions.

Review Beep Codes:

  • Two beeps can indicate a hardware error or incompatibility. In many systems, this often means the new CPU isn’t recognized by the motherboard.
  • Double-check that the new processor is installed correctly and that all power connections (including CPU power connectors) are secure.

If your system is not compatible with the Intel 14100, you may need to stick with a CPU that is officially supported or consider a new system that supports 14th Gen processors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
