I have a OEM HP Pavilion desktop.  Where do I find my microsoft product key number?

Hi:

 

The W8.1 product key is encrypted in your PC's BIOS.

 

You don't need it to reinstall W8.1.

 

If your PC is working, you can install the free showkey plus app from the Microsoft Store and it will show you the W8.1 product key.

 

ShowKeyPlus - Microsoft Store Apps

 

Since Microsoft is ending support for W8.1 next month, you may want to take the free upgrade to W10.
