Hi @LLady

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

To unlock your files, follow these steps:

1. Open the File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon in your taskbar or by pressing the Windows key + E.

2. Once File Explorer is open, click on the "View" tab at the top of the window.

3. Look for the "Options" button on the right side of the toolbar and click on it. This will open the "Folder Options" window.

4. In the "Folder Options" window, go to the "View" tab.

5. Scroll down the list of advanced settings until you find the option that says "Hidden files and folders."

6. Select the option that says "Show hidden files, folders, and drives."

7. Click on "Apply" at the bottom of the window, and then click "OK" to close the "Folder Options" window.

Once you've done this, your hidden files and folders should become visible again in the File Explorer.

If this solution hit the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
