My monitor works with 14 pin VGA to 14pin VGA cable connection with an old HP computer but it is not working with 15 pin VGA to HDMI cable connection with new HP computer. What is the solution?

If this "15 pin VGA to HDMI cable connection" is a cable only, then that might explain the problem.  VGA is analog signal and HDMI is digital.  While the maker of the cable might lead the user to believe it should work, many times it does not.  If the hosting PC has an VGA out port, then use that.  If the does not have a VGA out and the  monitor will only accept VGA, as true conversion device is needed.  What is the model number of the hosting PC?
