Getting a new HP Victus 15L next week. I want to hook it up to my 24inch monitor, But I want to keep my other pc too. They both use HDMI connections. What's the easiest way.
Had another account on the message boards, but can't access it anymore.
Thanks 🙂

If I understand correctly, you are getting a Desktop system but you plan to use the 24 inch monitor you already have.
I have gone through this as i have several system and only a few have monitors.
'
Any of these KVM switches will work. The more expensive ones can switch audio and microphone. I no longer use any KVM.
I recommend SplashTop. for anything except gaming. The personal one is free for up to 5 systems, does sound, and supports Touch screen. For $15 a year you can access any of your home systems from anywhere in the world. Supports Linux, iOS, Windows Android.
Gaming will lag on splashtop and KVM had no lag as it is hardware only.

They state it is 4k but at the bottom of the page they list 1920 x 1080 which is 2k, not 4k.; May be a typo as the case clearly has 4k printed on it. The switch is not powered so it will draw power from your computers HDMI graphics card. This can be a problem on rare occasions.
You will have to use a second pair of keyboard / mouse since it only switches video. For not much more you can get one with a remote.
One thing to be aware of. There is signal loss through cheap HDMI cables, long HDMI cables and unpowered switches. This should not be a problem with the items all on a desk and your computers adjacent or under the desk. If the monitors are far way, like a big screen TV, you can have single loss.
This happened to me when I replaced an RX-560 with a GTX-1070Ti. The signal out was not as strong as the older card and I had to wire the computer directly to the TV set and not go through a feedthrough panel and the HDMI switch. This should not be a problem for you as all the stuff is right on the desktop.

The other day I chatted online with Best Buy Support & he helped me order something but it didn't work. Took it back to the store & spoke to an actually human! He actually showed me the right product. It's a 3 Port HDMI Switch. Does exactly what I want!!
Thanks for helping me in the beginning
