Hi, I have a 22er monitor that, when plugged in to power, will repeatedly turn itself on and off. This occurs most often when the monitor has been in daily use (I switch off the power supply when not in use due to this problem). Additionally, it will lock and unlock the power button at random, displaying the relevant message.
I have tried a different power supply of equivalent voltage, have done a factory reset, and have cut the power to the monitor to discharged any remaining electricity by holding the power button. The problem persists even when not connected to a video source. The monitor performs without issue only when used infrequently, with the power supply switched off when not in use.
I hope this issue may be resolved as the monitor has otherwise been satisfactory, and I would consider purchasing another if I was confident that it would not have similar problems.

@eparish, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Here's a few things you need to know when using an HP monitor with a Mac device:
HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors.
- To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC.
- The monitor should operate at 60Hz.The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
