Product: 2311x
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My 2311X monitor on my new HP was working fine until today. It recognizes there is a DVI (i.e. says "Active" on bootup) but then goes to "Check Video Cable" and then to sleep.
I have tried -
- resetting the monitor (holding down Power 30-60 seconds while unplugged)
- hooking the monitor up to a different computer (same result)
- hooking the computer up via HDMI (does not detect HDMI)
Is it simply dead? Any way to reset it? I am worried it's the Windows updates but didn't have system restore on 😞

OK, was able to solve, thank God.
- Connected via a DVI to HDMI from old computer which got signal
- Did factory reset on the monitor
- Reconnected DVI to DVI to new machine, working now
