Last time I went through all of the troubleshooting steps, but nothing worked. I ended up doing a system recovery back to factory specs using the DVDs made after purchasing.

I don't want to go through that every time the touchscreen stops working.

 

I am baffled as to why HP doesn't have ANY drivers for this model.

 

 

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? 

 

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:

 

Follow this link and update the video drivers. That should work. 🙂

Hello Barachiel,

 

Thank You for replying to my request.

 

Yes I tried the Support Assistant, as well as other troubleshooting procedures found here & at other forums online.

Nothing worked.

 

The last time this happened, which was about a month ago, I ended up using the recovery DVDs, having to restore it to original state fresh out of the box.

 

After that the touchscreen worked fine, until about a week ago.

My girlfriend was playing bingo on facebook(it's her computer that she bought just after Christmas. Refurbished by HP, in an HP refurbished box) when the screen started to have to be touched two or three times before responding, after that happened for about 5 minutes, it just stopped responding altogether.

 

Once again I went through all of the troubleshooting procedures, as well as using Support Assistant.

Nothing worked, so I decided to post here and ask for help.

 

I've downloaded the drivers from the link that you supplied & will install on the machine.

I will let you know if it worked or not.

 

 

Also;

I had looked all over this site trying to find drivers for the computer & didn't find any. Even when using the driver assistant.

I didn't have any problems with the last couple HP computers that she had owned.

 

Do you know of any reason that I couldn't find any?

It worked!

The touchscreen is working & my girlfriend is happy!

I'm going to keep that installer in case it stops working again. Hopefully not.
