I've had this issue for a few years but yesterday one of my three monitors displays stopped working but all three appear
active under the Device Manager. (The non-displaying monitor is Monitor #2)
I know its not the monitor as I've tested all them. I switched the display cables in the computer and on the monitor.
No matter how I switch them, only Display #1 and #3 work.
If I duplicate Display #1 & #2 - Display #1 appears on #2 and both work and #3 displays fine.
If I seperate Display #1 & #2 - Display #2 goes blank even though it appears in the System >Display reads ‘Disconnect this display’, its not displaying it’s not displaying and it's 'Box' appears smaller then #3 when #3 & #2 are the same size.
When this first began HP support suggested to disable/restart/ enablerestart the Display Driver or uninstall/restart the Display Driver from the Device Manager. I would do both of these and after a few attempts the Display #2 worked. This time no such luck.
I've updated the drivers and Windows is updated.
This happens randomly, sometime after a reboot and sometime is a change Display #2 orientation.
Any Help or Thoughts, please ?
