HP ENVY 700-215xt CTO Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Which Nvidia graphics card will work with my HP ENVY 700-215xt desktop?  I need a basic gaming card with 4 gb of memory.  I was told to get a gaming video card, but this is s for options trading on 3 monitors.  Thanks.

@PMiller-Katy,

Your HP ENVY 700-215xt Desktop PC according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03924124

 has been fitted with a Pegatron - Memphis-B (SSID: 2AF7) motherboard, and a 300-watt power supply.

You asked for a decent 4GB graphics card that is compatible with your desktop and the 300-watt stock PSU, and I would suggest the Asus GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB which sells for $161 via Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Geforce-Phoenix-Graphics-PH-GTX1050TI-4G/dp/B01M360WG6/ref=sr_1_2?crid=P....  There are less expensive versions of the GTX 1050 Ti available, but these cards have dual cooling fans and are dimensionally longer which may necessitate some chassis modifications which you probably want to avoid.

If you want something a little cheaper, consider the Maxsun GeForce GT 1030 4GB which sells for $150, here: Amazon.com: MAXSUN GEFORCE GT 1030 4GB GDDR4 Video Graphics Card GPU Mini ITX Design, HDMI, DVI-D, S....

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

The parts list for your  system shows three possible NVidia graphics cards.  These cards will function in your system with the stock 300 watt power supply

The motherboard has built in Intel 4600 graphics but the on-board graphics is disabled if a graphics card is used.

The 745 has a higher rating at Techpoweup than the 640

If your case is low profile then be sure to get a low profile card.  Some used cards the seller may not have kept the LP bracket

Your motherboard, and power supply are standard ATX and you could upgrade to a more powerful video card & standard ATX power supply if desired.
