Alarm sounds

When I switch on I get no screen but an alarm sound 3 long tones followed by 3 short ones. It keeps repeating. By continuously pressing control alt delete I get message in screen saying press escape key when I do this the screen goes blank. By switching back on process repeats itself. Any help in trying to sort out wound be greatly appreciated
