Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your experiencing issue with the blank screen and Computer Starts but Monitor Remains Blank
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time the PC was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?
  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Perform a hard reset:

Many startup errors and other problems can be resolved by decreasing the amount of power stored in hardware components. Decreasing stored power is sometimes referred to as a "Hard Reset." Use the following steps to perform a hard reset on a computer:

  1. Turn off the computer completely; disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer.

  2. With the power off and the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the computer for 5 seconds. The power light indicator on or near the power button might turn on briefly but then go out.

  3. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the power.

    • If the computer starts, you are done.

    • If the computer still does not start and exhibits the same problem, continue the troubleshooting. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I had this problem with a brand new AIO a few months back. It was a different model, but the same thing happened. We ended up returning it to HP under warranty and got it replaced.

@D4316

Thank you for posting back.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would be glad to help you with the issue you are facing today.

On the brand new computer, there will be multiple programmes and software running in the background to set up in this process the computer will cause system lockup or freeze which common.
Let's perform basic troubleshooting steps and check for the result,

Perform a hard reset:

  1. Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove all USB devices and media cards. You want to test the computer, not the accessories!

  2. Disconnect the AC power adapter, remove the battery, and then press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.

  3. Reconnect the AC power adapter (but do not connect the battery), Press the Power button, Look for glowing LEDs near caps lock and num lock keys, and Listen for sounds of a disk drive and fan turning.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Could you please let me know, what happens when you power on the computer?

Are you able pass through the blank/black screen?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
