Hi @TrueTurnerBlood,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A blinking power light on a monitor typically indicates a hardware issue or a problem with the power supply. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the monitor is properly connected to a power source.
  • Verify that the power cable is securely plugged into both the monitor and the power outlet.

Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the monitor, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on again. This process can sometimes reset the monitor's internal components.

Check for Loose Cables:

  • Make sure that all cables, including the power and video cables, are securely connected to the monitor and the computer.

Test with a Different Power Outlet:

  • Try plugging the monitor into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the power source.

Test with Another Device:

  • Connect the monitor to another computer or device to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is with the monitor or the computer.

Inspect for Physical Damage:

  • Check the monitor for any signs of physical damage, such as a bent power connector or damaged cables.

Check the Power Button:

  • Ensure that the power button on the monitor is functioning correctly. If it's stuck or not responding, it may need to be repaired or replaced.

Update Drivers:

  • If possible, ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues.

Reset to Factory Settings:

  • Check the monitor's user manual for instructions on how to reset it to factory settings. This can often be done through the monitor's on-screen menu.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
