Hi @WINN405,

Welcome to the HP support community.

Sorry to hear about the screen issue on your HP All-in-One 24-df1. I understand how inconvenient it is to lose the built-in display, even if you’re currently using an external monitor. Let’s walk through what could be happening and how we can help find a replacement screen if available.

Why the screen might stop working

  • Even if nothing appears to have hit it, the display panel or its internal ribbon cable might have been damaged (e.g., due to a slight bump, thermal stress, or manufacturing fatigue).
  • The backlight, LED driver, or power supply circuit in the display housing could have failed.
  • Sometimes the panel appears intact, but the image driver board inside the screen is no longer functioning.

Replacement screen availability

We’d like to check whether HP has the specific replacement part for your model. To do that, please send us the following privately:

  • Your PC’s serial number (found on the back or in HP Support Assistant)
  • The full product name or number (e.g., 24-df1xxx)
  • A short description or photo of the screen issue (if you’d like)

Once we have those details, we can see:

  1. Whether HP supplies a replacement screen for that particular model, and
  2. The cost of repair options via authorized service or parts order.

We’re here to help you find the best path to getting your display restored.

Please help us with your HP unit serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.

You can tell it’s the screen that’s broke it has a center spot that looks like something hit it. Not sure how it could have gotten hit. It was in our office so not sure.

Hi @WINN405,

Thank you for sharing the image. It shows that the damage is due to impact, and although the device has a 2-year Care Pack, it does not cover physical cracks or accidental damage.

If you would like to proceed with a repair, it will be on a chargeable support. Please let me know, and I can check the service cost and the available repair options for you.

Keep me posted
