HP ENVY Desktop - 750-124
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My product is the 750-124 with an AMD 580 GPU and a 750w power supply.

The recent problems I have had:

-Code 31 error for the AMD GPU in device manager after a black screen

-AMD GPU not showing up in the device manager after a black screen

-Black screens on startup with AMD GPU (and occasionally blasting fans)

-Black screens randomly while using the AMD GPU (black screen happens much quicker under a heavy load)

-3 long and 3 short beeps upon startup with a black screen with AMD GPU (it has only happened once after I factory reset and I can't seem to recreate it)

During all of the black screens my computer is on but my monitor stops detecting anything and turns off. I factory reset my computer today since the GPU hasn't been able to work for more than a few minutes and at some point gave up on every startup. After the factory reset the AMD GPU worked for about an hour and ended in a black screen and more black screens on startup. I have been using the integrated Intel 530 GPU for the past week and haven't had any issues. I have tried different cords, different monitors, old and new drivers, and many other things all resulting in a black screen for the AMD GPU and not the Intel GPU. I have also tried doing lower/higher voltages, power intake, and fan speeds on the AMD GPU but it only delayed the issue of it randomly crashing. My GPU and CPU are constantly at a temperature much lower than the maximum and don't come close to the maximum limits before crashing my PC. I have read a lot and tested a lot of things but can't seem to find where the issue is coming from.

The windows code 31 indicates a driver problem.  Hopefully that is the problem and can be fixed.

The latest RX 580 (AMD) driver came out 1/18/2022 so you might try that.

https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580

be sure to select  the CLEAN uninstall.   The system will reboot after removing all traces of the old AMD driver and you may have to re-run the install if the reboot does not pick up where it left off.

If the problem continues you may need to check the warrantee for the RX-580 card or try the card in another system.
