  • My monitor turned off while I was using it so I turned everything off for 5 minutes and when I restarted the screen is blank. I’ve tried different hdmi cables. The monitor has power and so does my pc. The monitor displays the no signal sign when it’s not connected to the pc. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have tried hp support and they started to help and then stoped replying.

Hi @eview_234,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble using the monitor where the screen remains blank, and you've already tried swapping the HDMI cable. Sorry to hear you're facing this issue. Please let me know if you've also tried connecting the monitor to a different device or using a different port.

Please try a BIOS restore on the PC first before we try any other steps, and let me know how it works.

BIOS Restore :
1) Shut down the computer, keep the  USB Keyboard and Mouse plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
