I have a border round my new monitor, the 27"xq, i am running it off of a radeon 570 card. I have seen that you replied to a guy with exactly the same issue and graphics card. He ranted in the exact same way i would have.
The reply was private...
Why?
And what did you say to fix the issue. I also Bought a DP cable. probably wasted time and money.
Tell me what to do.
Yes, everything is updated.... everything.
EDIT: I think that the OP in the other post might be correct. There is a 5mm gap round the top and sides of the screen. It just depends on where you see the screen advertised.......... including the no border picture on the box.
Of course, we've all been to Fast food restaurants? But they dont cost the best part of £320 and im sure they could actually make the burger pictred if a gun was put to their head!

Not sure to which response you refer - ranting is common enough that it could have been almost anyone and any thread on the subject.
I cannot fully answer the "why" about private replies - a common reason: The answer requires personal information from the person requesting help. In these instances, a private reply helps protect privacy. It is primarily agents that use this method since only HP can access your private information.
I can offer the following...

Black Border around Screen when Connecting through DVI or HDMI
In general, borders around the display indicate there may be a mis-match in the Aspect Ratio, that is, the shape of the monitor display as compared to the shape of the visual display on the screen,
Some monitors provide a "stretch and fit" to adjust the Aspect Ratio.
