I bought the new HP PAVILION DESKTOP PC TP01-1043nl to replace the old HP Pavilion Elite HPE-340it and I find that on the new PC the Virtual Skipper 5 game does not work (on the old one, it also had win10 x64, it worked perfectly). I've tried all compatibility options - no results. The nice thing is that Virtual Skipper 3 works well. On the old PC the video card was ATI Radeon HD5570, on the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER. Some idea? Thank you

Here is the actual solution for fixing all known graphics problems. The original solution can be found at the bottom as quote.
1. Download DxWnd https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/files/latest/download it's a tool for running various compatibility fixes for old games. Please make sure that you are running at least DxWnd version 2.04.72.
2. Unzip the downloaded file to a folder where you can find it again. DxWnd doesn't need to be installed, it can just be run.

Hello
what do you mean by "it doesn't work"?
be more specific ..
The older game has no problem, is that it?
the config required for the 5
System requirements

- CPU: Pentium IV 1.6GHz / AMD Athlon XP1600+
- RAM: 256 MB (XP) or 512 MB (Vista)

[edit]
It looks like there is a free version, the one I found first ...
Which version do you have exactly?

Thanks for the reply. I try to be more precise:
1. Vsk5Launcher.exe opens well, clicking on Play the game opens, but it is not displayed well: you only see colored rectangles where there should be menu texts but the texts are not there. Clicking on the one corresponding to the exit you exit, clicking on any other rectangle you get to a white screen.
2. Virtual Skipper 3 has no problems, just the black borders in full screen.
3. the version is 2.0.5 it (DVD ITA / ENG / GER / FRA / ESP / PL from 2008 + update patch).
I can add that fortunately the game works perfectly on the virtual machine I have installed.
It remains a mystery to me that it worked fine on the old PC.

did you succeed ?
I tried what is indicated
I probably made a mistake at one point, but eventually I got the game going.
Indeed the display has become correct
there I give up, because if the game starts (the online test version)
Once the tutorial mission has started the game is not smooth, you may need to modify some parameters, I don't know
But since I am not drawn to this game, my goal was just to be able to help you with this launch issue.
Hope this is a good start for you already!

13. Switch to the "Compat." Panel and check "Limit available resources"
14. click OK
15. Right Click the VSK5 that shows up in the list now.
16. click "run hooked"
I used this also in pictures
