HP Pavilion 24-xa All-in-One Desktop PC (5KF24AV)

I have a all in one. In order to turn the camera on, you pull it up from behind the screen so it can turn on. Since about 2 months ago, when it is down and I it says "Camera turned off" however when I Pull it up it changes to "camera not detected."

 

I have installed all updates, I have tried trouble shooting and even resetting it to previous settings. The computer was not moved, did not suffer any damage etc. I've also contacted Microsoft who tried to fix it and install a driver to update it. They could not resolve the issues even after escalation and giving them control of the computer - they also tried HP's suggestions for resolving it to no avail.
