HP Pavilion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 27er monitor is blank when the computer boots up.  I can continue to tap different keys on the keyboard and it will come up sometimes.  This happens everytime I shut the computer down.  I am using 1 HDMI, 1 video, and 1 switching adapter to hook it up to m y ASUS tower.  I have had some windows problems with my tower and seems the same anymore.  Has this damaged the 27er monitor?  It shows that my monitor is out of warranty but I should have 8 months still to go.  I purchased it with my HP Pavilion tower and it is still under warranty for 8 months.

@Bear90,

Welcome to HP Support Forums!

I see from your post that you're having issues with the HP monitor and the warranty associated. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

We don't recommend using Switches. However, What happens when you try to connect one monitor at a time.

Do you get no input signal or Monitor going to sleep?

Have you tried to swap the cables and check if that helps.

In the meantime, I would suggest you could follow the steps suggested in the support document for - Flat Panel Monitor Displays Message about No Signal, Signal out of Range, Sleep, or Power Save

Alternatively, I would suggest you could go through this support website to check for the warranty - HP Customer Support - Product Warranty Check

Hope this answers your question.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
