Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thank you for reaching out. We understand that the camera is not functioning and that you are also experiencing battery-related concerns with your HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000. We are glad to help.
For the camera issue:
- Press Fn + F8 (or the key with the camera icon) to ensure the camera is enabled.
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and confirm camera access is turned on for the device and applications.
- Open Device Manager > Cameras, right-click the HP camera, and select Disable device, then Enable device.
- If the camera is not listed or shows an error, open HP Support Assistant and install any available driver, BIOS, or firmware updates for your notebook.
- Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI and perform the webcam test to check the camera hardware.
For the battery issue:
- Connect the original HP charger and verify that charging is detected.
- In HP Support Assistant, run a Battery Check to review battery health and calibration status.
- Update the BIOS and power-related drivers through HP Support Assistant.
- Shut down the notebook, disconnect external devices, and restart to check if battery charging and discharge behavior returns to normal.
- Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI > Battery Test to identify any battery-related hardware concerns.
Please let us know:
- What exactly is happening with the battery (not charging, drains quickly, not detected, or another symptom)?
- Does the camera show a black screen, error message, or is it missing from Device Manager?
This information will help us guide you further.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
