Manually Install the Camera Driver

Go to the HP Support Website: HP Software and Driver Downloads

Enter Your Laptop Model: Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A2AV)

Find the Camera Driver: Under "Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices" or "Software-Solutions" (depends on your model).

Download & Install the latest camera driver for Windows 11.

Restart your laptop after installation.

Check Windows Update for Optional Drivers

Press Windows + I to open Settings.

Go to Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.

Look for a camera driver update under “Driver updates” and install it.

Restart your PC and check if the camera works.

Hope this helps!

Hi @kuraltoremurato

I appreciate you giving those steps a shot! If the camera driver isn't available on the HP Support website, no worries—we’ve got a few more things to try.

Use Device Manager to Reinstall the Camera Driver

Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras (if listed).

Right-click on your camera and select Uninstall device.

Click Action at the top and choose Scan for hardware changes to let Windows reinstall the driver.

Restart your laptop and check if the camera works.

Try the Generic Windows Camera Driver

In Device Manager, right-click on your camera and select Update driver.

Choose Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.

Select USB Video Device and click Next to install it.

Restart your laptop and test your camera.

Check Windows Privacy Settings

Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.

Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned on.

If none of these steps work, let me know—we'll figure this out together! 😊
