Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm trying to play an online flight sim game. I keep getting an error and the online game support says I need to have either a 64bit monitor or video card to play. My question is it possible to change to monitor settings from 32bit to 64bit on my HP2009m monitor? Otherwise I will need to buy a new monitor or video card to get into this game. BTW, my monitor works perfectly so I really don't need to change it.

@Ricochet909,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

After reviewing your post, I see that you are running Windows 10 on your PC. Just wanted to know if you have installed a retail copy of Windows or OEM version of Widows.

According to the product specifications it shows that your PC has been shipped with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and there are no software or drivers available for Windows 10.

Here's the link which should help you with if your notebook has been tested for Windows 10 or not - HP Products Tested with Windows 10

Since there are no software and driver available for Windows 10, If you wish to continue using Windows 10 then you would need to rely on the Windows generic drivers(Windows update).

For more details, please follow this link: HP PCs - Updating Drivers and Software with Windows Update (Windows 10, 8, 7)

Or else you may try to update the drivers using HP Support Assistant.

To download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

Other option would be to revert back to the original Operating system that was shipped with the unit.

I would suggest you could try to use HP Cloud Recovery Tool which allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive.

If this option does not work then you can follow this link: HP PCs - Obtaining PC Recovery USB Drives or Discs Or else you may contact our HP support team to help you order a set of recovery media for your PC.

HP support team can be reached on this link

Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.
