I'm using an HP Victus laptop running Windows 11, and my built-in webcam suddenly stopped working without any apparent reason.
Whenever I open the Camera app, I get the following message:
"We can't find your camera.Check to make sure it's connected and installed properly, that it isn't being blocked by antivirus software, and that your camera drivers are up to date. If there's a physical switch or button for the camera on your PC, make sure it's turned on."
I followed HP's recommended troubleshooting instructions, which said to:
Visit the official HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads page.
Enter my laptop's serial number.
Select Windows 11.
Download the latest camera driver (Realtek, Sonix, or HP Universal Camera Driver) under the Driver – Camera section.
However, after entering my serial number and checking the drivers available for my laptop, there is no Camera driver listed at all. I couldn't find any Realtek, Sonix, HP Universal Camera, or any other webcam driver to download.
So far, I have:
Restarted my laptop
.Checked the HP Support driver page for my exact model.
Confirmed that no Camera driver is available for download.

If the camera isn't showing up in Device Manager either, Windows may not be detecting it at all. Check if the webcam is disabled in the BIOS or by a keyboard privacy key if your model has one. Since HP doesn't list a separate camera driver for every model, the webcam driver is sometimes included through Windows Update or another system driver. If none of that helps, it could be a hardware issue or a loose camera connection.
