I have an HP 25f 25-inch display monitor and I was thinking about setting up a monitor arm to get some desk space. I am pretty sure this monitor is not VESA compliant (I do not see any holes in the back). Can this monitor be used with a monitor arm stand? If yes, how? Is there a specific attachment I need to look for?

It seems that you are correct - there is nothing on the back of the monitor to which you could attach an "arm stand".

About the best you could do, I think,
- Bolt a shelf to the wall that is both deep enough and strong enough for the task.
- Place the monitor on the shelf and secure the bottom of the stand to the shelf.
- Because the monitor would now be more vulnerable to falling (or breaking the stand), secure the monitor itself to the wall using some "Earthquake" straps.
It would work, albeit not as easily as merely bolting an arm stand to the wall and hanging the monitor on the pre-made stand.
