HP 22cwa
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I connected my hp monitor (22cwa) to my Mac (MacOS Catalina. Version 10.15.5) with an HDMI cord & Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor. I tried it while my Mac computer was shut down after reading through other posts.

When I turn the display on the hp Display scans for an hdmi signal, but ultimately shows “no signal” every time.
Do I need to return this?

@Megsmith19 Welcome to HP Community!

Here's a few things you need to know when using an HP monitor with a Mac device:

HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors.

  • To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC.
  • The monitor should operate at 60Hz.The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.

I have the same issue

My monitors worked up until about 2 weeks ago

I have been to apple and they have checked my computer (nothing wrong), It works with their monitors still

I plugged it in directly today and for some reason it flashed up when it was plugged in direct, I unplugged it and re-plugged it in via my doc....doesnt work again.

Any helps appreciated

THanks

Paul
