Color problems when waking up: HP Pavilion23cw

Sometimes but not always my Pavilion 23cw screen wakes up with colors skewed toward green and pink.  turning off the screen and then turning it back on solves the problem, but is annoying.  How to avoid?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

To better assist you - Have you tried connecting the monitor to another computer? 

Also, try updating your computer. 

If the issue still persists, try resetting to defaults - 

1. If the monitor is not already on, press the Power button to turn on the monitor.
2. To access the OSD menu, press the Menu button on the right side of the monitor or on the remote control.
3. To navigate through the OSD menu, press the + (Plus) button on the monitor’s side panel or on the remote control to scroll up, or the – (Minus) button to scroll down > Go to Management to reset to factory defaults.
