HP Recommended

Hi I have a hp compaq that I was using one day and I was finished with it for the day then when I was finished with it for the day I turned it off then when I tried to turn it on the next day nothing happened I pressed the power button but nothing happened I took off the side panel then I tried pressing the power button and nothing happened no power light no ram light no nothing I have important files on it and I need help fast please help soon.
