Whenever I power my PC on and turn my monitor on, the monitor will not pick up any signal and just goes to sleep immediately. Checked HDMI cable but connected direct to monitor and PC. Not sure what to do.

Can you get into the bios setup? If the HP logo or bios setup is not shown then there is some type of hardware problem. If your motherboard had a video connector then use that instead of the GPU board's video.

If you have more than 1 HDMI or HD video connector then try another connector.

If you have a DVI type connector then then check both the pins in the cable and the socket for any damage or pins pushed in.

Did you recently get a display port cable?  If so, some cables have P20 wired which causes some monitors to sleep.  Pin 20 should not be wired unless that power feature is required.

if the display goes to sleep only when windows starts then you need to boot into safe mode and set the resolution to a value that the monitor supports.

I press the power button and that’s it. Won’t let me do anything to it before scanning all inputs and then going to sleep. I have my laptop connected to the monitor via HDMI and have an older cable to connect.

Sorry, I do not know what I am looking at.

Do you have an HP computer or an HP monitor?  I see an asus PC so I am guessing you have an HP monitor. What model?

You mentioned it starts scanning but you also report "that's it" when the power button is pressed.

What do you mean by scanning?

what is the L EMCRET device?

Can you explain what devices are connected?

Thank you.
