Cracked Screen Repair

My touch-screen computer is cracked and now it is almost impossible to use it . My waranty expireed so how can I get this fixed? I tried a fix-it shop near me but they were uncertain how they would fix it and would charge me 1

@mcleanrenae001 -- the most-difficult part will be to find either a "genuine-HP" screen, or a compatible screen.  Maybe, search on sites like eBay or Amazon for a "previously owned" screen.  Probably, very expensive, if you can find one.

Then, look on YouTube for "disassembly" videos that are specific to your model-number of computer.

The technicians should be able to understand the steps in the video to disassemble your computer.

An experienced technician should be able to do the disassembly/replace/reassembly/test within one hour, whatever the hourly-rate is for such work.

I searched on the HP Warehouse site:  https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=2B097UA

and found:  L87971-001 --- LCD PANEL KIT 17.3'INCH FHD AG TS NATURAL SILVER

but it is showing as "N/A" -- not available for purchase from HP.

Do a Google-search for "L87971-001", to try to find a seller.

This is definitely not a "do-it-yourself" repair. Seek professional help.
